Men’s Program in Orange County, Southern California

imgOCEAN RECOVERY men’s program is designed in a gender-specific setting to target addiction and co-occurring disorders. We address multiple issues related to the disease of addiction which may not have been sufficiently resolved in the primary treatment center. We also offer care to those who have failed to maintain abstinence after primary care or outpatient treatment.

Ocean Recovery has designed a gender-specific program with the objective to provide an environment where men can explore issues that have impacted their lives and influenced their addiction without distraction. A gender-specific environment facilitates healthy boundaries and invites individuals to build strong peer support which is essential in the treatment process. Our program is constructed so that individuals can explore key issues they often feel inhibited to address in a mixed gender environment.

Clients work with professionals and counselors to target issues including alcoholism, drug addiction, and any co-occurring disorders. Men will go through an extensive evaluation and assessment upon admission to identify past and current problem behaviors. Treatment is tailored to the unique needs of every individual, recognizing that biological, psychological, and environmental influences are different for everyone, and therefore symptoms vary. It is important to note that the behaviors associated with addiction, the actual process of using drugs/alcohol and engaging in self-destructive behaviors, are only symptoms of the disease. In order for healing to take place, it is necessary to investigate the underlying issues which impact individuals and lead them to turn to using. More often than not, addiction involves a variety of complex components and interrelated symptoms. Ocean Recovery offers a men’s program which deals with all facets of the disease of addiction.
