About Us

imgOCEAN RECOVERY is a cutting edge treatment facility. Our philosophy is to provide highly individualized treatment, tailored to the specific needs of men and women suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. We encourage our clients to develop pride in their sobriety by utilizing the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and to adopt the spiritual principals that will ultimately replace fear and hopelessness with freedom from alcohol and drugs.

Clients go through extensive individually focused assessments. A treatment plan is determined by the treatment team’s thorough evaluation, in addition to information we have obtained from the client and primary care provider. We utilize a Multi-Dimensional Therapeutic (MDT) approach. The program includes case management, weekly individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and nutritional therapy if needed. Through exploring personal issues, outing negative thoughts, and learning to express their feelings, clients are able to identify aspects of their disease that led them to engage in destructive behaviors. Once they gain an awareness of what led them to use, they are better equipped to identify triggers, ask for help, and replace old behaviors with healthy, effective coping mechanisms.

Goals and Program Objectives

The clinical staff develops a treatment plan based on the individual’s physical and mental health assessment obtained from measures and interviews during the assessment phase. Critical success factors are identified and realistic goals are established. Strengths and assets are emphasized as well as risks and liabilities. Clients are encouraged and required to find a sponsor within the first two weeks of arriving at Ocean Recovery to begin working the 12 Steps. Individual treatment plans are designed to include a combination of individual and group therapy, participation in holistic therapy, educational groups, nutritional therapy, and daily 12-Step meetings. Clients will have regular assignments that provide them the opportunity to express their feelings and address personal issues in a safe setting. Each treatment plan is developed to increase the client’s understanding of his/her disease, support a willingness to change, and encourage a commitment to recovery and abstinence.
